UV Lash Glue FAQ's

What is UV eyelash glue, and how does it differ from regular eyelash glue?

UV eyelash glue is a specialized adhesive designed for lash extensions. It contains photo initiators that cure or harden when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. This allows the glue to set quickly and securely, resulting in a long-lasting bond between the natural lashes and extensions. Unlike regular eyelash glue, which relies on air-drying, UV eyelash glue cures rapidly under a UV or LED lamp, reducing application time and improving lash retention.

How long does it take for UV eyelash glue to cure?

It takes only a few seconds for the glue to cure completely under the lamp. This rapid drying time helps prevent lashes from sticking together and ensures a comfortable and seamless wearing experience.

Is UV eyelash glue safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers?

Yes, our UV eyelash glues are formulated to be safe for sensitive eyes. They are also suitable for contact lens wearers. However, it's essential to perform a patch test before the application to ensure there are no adverse reactions. If any irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a professional.

Can I use a regular eyelash glue with a UV eyelash lamp?

No, using a regular eyelash glue with a UV eyelash lamp will not produce the desired curing effect. Regular eyelash glues do not contain the necessary photo initiators to respond to UV light, so they won't cure properly under the lamp.

How long do UV lash extensions last compared to regular lash extensions?

Lash extensions applied with our UV eyelash glue tend to have better longevity compared to those applied with regular eyelash glues. The strong bond formed by the UV glue allows the extensions to last for up to 7-9 weeks, often throughout the natural lash growth cycle. Regular lash extensions may require more frequent touch-ups due to the weaker bond.

Can I use a regular eyelash lamp for curing UV eyelash glue?

It is not recommended to use a regular eyelash lamp for curing UV eyelash glue. UV eyelash lamps are specifically designed to emit the appropriate wavelength of UV light required to cure the adhesive properly. Using a different lamp may lead to inadequate curing and compromise the bond strength of the extensions.

Are UV eyelash lamps safe for my eyes?

When used as directed, UV eyelash lamps are generally safe for the eyes. However, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully and avoid direct eye exposure to the UV light. Additionally, we suggest wearing the protective eye wear provided with our UV Lash Glue System during the curing process to shield your eyes from the UV light.

How do I remove UV lash extensions applied with UV eyelash glue?

UV lash extensions can be safely removed by a professional lash technician using a gel based lash adhesive remover. Attempting to remove them at home may damage your clients natural lashes and should be avoided.
